figure3 took home two Awards of Excellence at the Value of Design Awards (VODA) in Vancouver as part of the Interior Designers of Canada 2019 Design Symposium.

The firm received an Innovation in Workplace Design award for designing the Thompson Dorfman Sweatman (TDS) office, alongside Number TEN Architectural Group, and an Innovation in Retail Design award for refining Surterra Wellness.

“We congratulate our clients, our team, and our partners, most notably Number TEN Architectural Group for our collaboration on the TDS project,” says figure3.

The Value of Design Awards celebrates Canadian interior designers who showcase the benefits of design thinking: an empathetic, inventive and iterative process focused on the human experience within interior spaces.

“It’s gratifying to be recognized for not only a beautifully designed project, but more importantly, a space that puts the human experience at the center of the design,” says Suzanne Bettencourt, Principal at figure3. “Having a strong partnership with clients who truly value the design thinking process and understand how physical space can greatly impact their business is key to project innovation and success. We are honoured to be recognized for the innovation we’re delivering.”
