Montréal Architecture and Design Firm Earns 3-star Fitwel Office Rating

Architecture and design firm Lemay received a 3/3 score on the Fitwel scale, administered by the (CFAD). Located in Montréal, Lemay states that “The Phenix” is the first project in Québec (and the second in Canada) to achieve a perfect rating.

is a building rating system for commercial interiors — and multi-tenant and single-tenant structures — that provides guidelines on how to design and operate healthier buildings.

The rating system can also be used as a roadmap to assist the design of new project developments.

Fitwel’s building certification “rates an environment’s performance across 12 categories to support healthier workplaces and improve occupant health and productivity.”

Certifications are given 1, 2, or 3 stars based on the number of points they earn:

integrating Fitwel’s design and operational strategies into the former warehouse-turned-office earned the firm an exceptional score of 131 points out of 144 for its office of 350 employees.
